What do ya think about the 6th book of Harry Potter? I though tit was GREAT! Though there was little to much kissy-kissy stuff I will admit that. But they are getting older so I guess it was time...

I loved it. Solid base, but I despised the ending.
when's the next one come out?

[glow=black,2,3] Definently one of my top three faves! I didn't think the ending was all that sad, I guess I was kinda expecting it. I often wondered what his age was. . .
Anyway, the third is still my favorite, and will always be! Along with the characters Remus and Sirius. Lol, I still won't belive what happened to Sirius in the 5th book, and I will forever be in denile!
But I think JK is still writing the seventh book. trust me, if I knew when it was coming out. . . well, you'd definently know it. Let's just put it that way. It will probably be a couple years, most likely four years. [/glow]

Oh I cannot wait! She left it sort of at a clift hanger huh? I hate when authors do that, but hey it makes you want to read the next and the next and next and the next..... How many books it she doing? Ten?

[glow=black,2,3]Only seven. But from what I read, she might make some after books, but didn't make any promises!
I can't wait for the seventh! I hope it's the longest ever! [/glow]

You know, there's that one book to go. She can't sum it all up in it, unless it's the size of a 10,000 page Webster's Dictionary. There's just no way. She dictated that he would...well you know...that last thing that Harry says to Ron and Hermione about Hogwarts...if he doesn't, then what will the next book be about? As I said in the movie rating debate post for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, I cried when you-know-who (no...not Voldemort!) died. And that particular character was good and the one that I thought might be good was bad. Harry gets a girlfriend. Everything topsy-turvy...aaaaahhh! I also thought there was a little too much kissing in it too, but as you said, it was bound to happen. I cannot believe that the very important character that rolled behind the curtain who's name I will not say died. No one knows that. He'll come back...you'll see. The more previous character that died, I'd say that he has a horcrux or a ghost. How else would he know so much about horcruxes? He has to come back...he HAS to! I loved the ending. Harry finally gets over his "why does everything have to happen to me *cry cry* *sob sob*" stage. I look forward to the next book, but have hopes about the character whose death we morn...

This book was definately my favorite so far. The books get better every time, but there's only one more left *tear* lol. I'm gonna miss the books when the series has ended. I can't wait to see what the next book brings though :-D

Gnah, it was okay. Not as good as the fourth or the fifth. It was good, not EXCEPTIONAL! I hated how everything changes, though. Hogwarts is never going to be the same again...

It was a fantastic read and one for the records this - but deffinitely not my favourite out of the series so far. My favoutire personally was the 3rd novel - and to me this isn't very close to it. Second to 'The Prisnor of Azkaban' I would have to say is the 'Goblet of Fire'.
Still - a great read.

IT was so sad how Dumbledoor died *sniffles* It wasn't as good as Goblet of Fire, but I liked it. Everything is so................different now! I mean...blah....I don't want to go into some huge rant about it, I miss DUMBLEDOOR! I agree with Drathlic

[glow=black,2,3] I was kinda guessing DD's death. I mean, he was old. I remember seeing the movies and reading the books, and saying to myself "Will he live forever or what?"
I guess I though he's die peacfully or something, like not wake up from a nap. [/glow]

About DD's death, he just couldn't die in a nap. That doesn't fit JKR's style, if you know what I mean. And you!! *gives Lydair a cold glare, leaps over to Yeli, steals the frying pan, and begins to smack Lydair with it* LOL. Actually, I'm kinda OK with you not liking them. I really wasn't into them at first. But, for some reason, I am now. I guess it's because I haven't found another author, besides Paolini, that has such good vocabulary. By this, I don't mean that I'm an English teacher in disguise. *And now we enter the mind of Farrah: "Oh snap! They're onto me!"* I mean that, if you've ever read any of the following books: The Sight, Warriors, Guardians of Ga'Hoole, Farenheit 451, Fever 1793, Artemis Fowl, A Wrinkle In Time, The Shadowmancer, Island of the Blue Dolphins, Left Behind, Anne of Green Gables, Redwall, Chasing Redbird, Cast Two Shadows, The Black Stalion, Dog's Body, Johnny Tremain, The Giver, Joshua, Rascal, The Chronicals of Narnia, etc, you know that there are lots of words which the authors repeat. (I don't mean linking verbs and conjunctions and stuff; I mean good vocab. words like discombobulated ((I love that word!)) and stuff along those lines.) Paolini and Rowling really pay attention to those details. Also, I'm taking Latin, and most of the spells cast in HP are in Latin. It's so cool to finally understand what's going on. Besides, most of the names of the characters come from either Latin or Romanian (they're both based on the same words mostly, so it's all really Latin) and I have family in Romania. It's kind of cool to have a link with them somehow. Anyway, as I've said before, I think it is a great book. Some of the things definately took me by surprise (DD's death and SS's revolt against HWs) but, altogether, it was good. ((I hope you know what I'm talking about when I use all of those abbreviations. I don't want those who haven't read it to accidentally pick up clues. I hate it when someone spoils a book for me, so I don't want to be the cause of a book spoiling. If you need help deciphering, you can PM me!))
