//OOC: I'm sorry about how long this came out too be. I honestly don't think this post is even that good. And I'm also sorry about how long it took to get this up. I know I told you I'd have it up sooner, so I hope you forgive me.//
The scent of blood held a death grip on the immediate area around Krystal. There was nothing the bi-colored fae could do to escape the scent. Each breath taken in by the Ge-Radian only helped to remind the fae of how dark the situation truly was. It had been some time since Krystal had fully taken in the scent of another wolf’s blood. The very last time being the battle at Cwen’s Pond, which too this day still brought the terrible memories of the war between Ge-Rad, and the combined efforts of Balkar and Sarnes. It wasn’t that Krystal hated, or felt uncomfortable around the sight of so much blood from a wolf. Being raised as a Zanguzen, such sights are very common and at an early age Krystal was forced to learn and accept this cruel sight of blood drenched, and often dismembered Varg. In truth Krystal was at a loss for words, and she wished she could do more for Shako, and have the answers he needed.
“Your father…” Krystal repeated in a whisper after Shako held his tongue suddenly. Before the bi-colored fae could ask however, the ivory and blood soaked beta suddenly and violently coughed up more crimson liquid. “Shako!” Krystal yelled out of concern. “You mustn’t over exert yourself!” As Shako turned his gaze away, Krystal momentarily wondered how much longer it would take Uskiya to get here. The longer time passed, the more the situation would worsen, and it was up to the Ge-Radian to make sure that Shako survives this day. “Please, at least lie down.” She spoke to the beta in a concerned tone. “Try to relax until help arrives.” Surprisingly, Shako rested his head on his ivory paws. Krystal in truth didn’t expect the ivory male to listen to her request, and was caught off guard when the ivory beta actually heeded her request. But there was a reason why Krystal thought this way.
As Shako rested, for that moment the Ge-Radian scout allowed her mind to wonder a bit. Too a place and debate that often time wagged war within the mind of the former Zanguzen. Instantly, her mood changed, and by looking at the form of the fae one could tell that depression and despair’s toxic influence was beginning to work its sick and twisted magic. Ebon auds and bi-hued gaze fell to the floor. Her obsidian tail lacked all sense of life and it lay motionless on the terra. The weight of truth brought unbearable pressure on Krystal, and not once could the burden of this heaviness be lifted when fully taken hold. That truth being, how Krystal felt worthless to this family, and all the struggles and pain she had caused Ge-Rad during the time she has been apart of their family. This was a secret Krystal kept to herself, and now more then ever before, one could see the venomous effects such pain could hold on someone, if not released into the open.
If it not for the words of the ivory beta that cut through the darkness of the venomous plague within the scout, it could have very well brought the former Zanguzen to the brink of no return. Krystal now looked upon Shako with heartbroken and defeated sapphire and emerald eyes. Even now, she could do nothing to help Ge-Rad, to help her beta, to help anyone. Yet something Shako had said had caught Krystal off guard. “You want to know more about me?” Krystal asked, still surprised by the request made by the ivory beta. There was a brief moment of silence that passed between the two wolves. Mostly because Krystal was trying to figure out how much of her past she should reveal to Shako, and feared what he would think of her if the beta learned the truth of the scout’s heritage. In the end however, she decided to be truthful to Shako, despite the consequences that could unfold.
//OOC: Rather then type up a whole background story, just read my character bio. Some parts of it Krystal doesn’t know about, but it’s not hard to figure out.//
“I’ll never forget that day…” Krystal finished, soft lyrics flowed out her ebon maw like a gentle river. The story had taken a good deal of time to tell. Much of the day had drifted away, but Krystal at this point had lost all concept of time. Each lyric of her past rekindled the flame of painful memories. At some moments, the bi-colored Ge-Radian completely forgot about Shako as she drifted along a current of memories and emotions. Krystal continued, going into great detail about the moments that followed after her mother’s death. She spoke of the time she had spent with Draeg in the days when the amber dragga was an amber kerl. How feelings for the gentle male developed, and how the humans had captured, and taken Krystal away before she could have a chance to express her heart to his. There was both sadness and anger as the former Zanguzen spoke of the humans.
“They robbed me of my freedom, of my joy, of the chance to be with the wolf who I wanted to spend the rest of my life with…” Krystal continued. Her tone darkened more, as sadness and anger clashed with her vocals. Pain was as visible on Krystal as the sun was in the heavens. The bi-colored fae found a stone situated on the ground, and kept her orbs focused on the rock rather then Shako. She found it easier to talk this way, in part because she was afraid of how Shako would react to everything. And she knew if she stopped now, if she hesitated for a moment, Krystal would never be able to continue the story. As time continued on, Krystal continued to speak her story. She spoke of the hardships of living with man, and of the hope that some day, she could see the wolf she wanted to be with. The kind male who had befriended the former Zanguzen without question, despite the past the bi-colored fae held, and despite her lineage, the blood of Zanguzen. It was that hope that gave Krystal courage, gave her strength, and the will to break free and escape.
Her journey to Koran was explained briefly, as Krystal wanted to hurry the story along. Carried on the back of a white wolf, and healed by the healers of Koran. It was during her brief stay with the Koranians did she learn about Ge-Rad, and her amber friend who had now become dragga. “So I went in search of him. I just wanted to see him again. To tell him I was alive.” Krystal went into more detail about the journey from Koran to Ge-Rad, and how she came across Ayasha along the way. The friendship between the two wolves grew quickly, and soon Krystal came to look upon the ebon night walker as her sister, and even called her such. “Eventually, I made it to Ge-Rad, during Wolfbane’s winter. And at last, I saw him again. After all that time, he remembered me. Draeg even sheltered me from the blizzard, and offered me a place in his pack. I’ll never be able to thank him enough for everything he has given me.”
Now came the most difficult part of the story. The part Krystal had to confront and accept. It was as if in this very moment, the very land was still and silent. Perhaps the very trees were listening to her, the very creatures of the forest listening… waiting… “But… I messed up…” She closed her eyes, unable to even look at the rock. “All of Ge-Rad looks at me with a cold stare. The way one looks at someone who has betrayed them. I know Shayla has told you, her words reached everyone.” By far, this was the most painful part for Krystal. The weight of this pain that burdened the Ge-Radian displayed clearly in her lyrics and tone. “Don’t tell me you don’t know, because I know you do. Now most of Ge-Rad, my family, doesn’t trust me. Ge-Rad… Draeg… I messed up with everyone…”
It was then that Krystal went into detail about why Shalya is trying to get the former Zanguzen banished. Once finished, she moved Draeg, and of the day they shared a very difficult scene. The moment where her heart had taken over, and led her to believe that the amber dragga and the bi-colored scout could some how be together. But such a way was mere fantasy. “I’ve hurt this pack so much Shako… Most of Ge-Rad doesn’t trust me… Shayla hates me… Draeg rarely talks to me anymore… I don’t even see Ayasha anymore… I feel so alone, in my own family. And I feel like I’ve caused so much pain for Ge-Rad then good. I’m sure Shayla has told you that, and you probably feel that way too. Most everyone does… That’s what hurts the most Shako… No matter how hard I try, all I’ve done is brought my family pain and misery… just my mere presence…” Krystal sighed, and laid her ebon maw on her paws. “I’ve never felt so alone and miserable in my entire life Shako… I don’t even feel like I belong here anymore. I don’t feel like I’m apart of Ge-Rad. I can’t help anyone Shako, I couldn’t even help you, when you needed help the most.”
